About me

My name is Alex and I am a tour guide born and raised in Brașov. My wish is to show how the past and present meet in this city – how history is not just a closed chapter, but a living part of what we experience today.

I like my tours to go beyond the usual information. I aim to offer those who accompany me a deeper understanding of the places we visit so that they can understand the connections between the past and the present.

As a guide, I can deliver information, but what I prefer is to tell stories, to place historical events in a narrative in which Brașov becomes the main character.

For me, a city is not just buildings, streets, or monuments, but the ideas that have shaped it over time.

The tours I organize do not stop in the distant past; the story I tell always reaches the present day.

And if the events that interest you are those that reach the present day, we can leave the old city center and explore its communist past. The working-class neighborhoods, the former factories, the outskirts of the city.  It’s up to you where you want my story to take you.

I want those who accompany me to understand why Brașov looks and feels the way it does today.
